馬祖東莒島位於列島最南端之處，對於台灣本島而言，更是存在於離島中的遙遠離島。《弄潮》以攝影書裝載著創作者杜可筠在2021至2023年夏天之間往返於島上的三段旅行，透過攝影捕捉島嶼特有的自然生態與人文景觀，同時穿插記錄個人情感變化的日誌書寫。藉由書籍的編排，創作者得以重新釐清、彙整島嶼生活的經驗，體現出圍繞於個人與環境之間伴隨潮汐持續的時間。

Dongju Island of Matsu lies at the southernmost tip of the archipelago, making it a remote outpost among Taiwan's outlying islands. "A Tremendous Fortress" is a photobook documenting the artist Keyun Tu’s three trips to the island during the summers of 2021 to 2023. Through photography, it captures the unique natural ecology and cultural landscape of the island, interwoven with diaries that record the personal emotion of the artist. Through the editing of the book, the artist re-examines and organizes the experiences of island life, embodying the continuous passage of time that flows between the individual and the environment, like the tides.
